Volvo Unveils New FH Aero Trucks

The legendary Volvo FH truck range has welcomed a new member — the Volvo FH Aero. With its aerodynamic design and innovative features, the FH Aero raises the benchmark for energy efficiency. It is noted that the model is available in four variants, with the biofuel version and the award-winning electric version being particularly notable.

The Volvo FH Aero sets a new standard for energy efficiency within heavy-duty haulage thanks to its aerodynamic design and cutting-edge features. Roger Alm, President of Volvo Trucks, highlights that the new model establishes fresh standards for CO2 emission reduction whilst combining the core strengths characteristic of Volvo trucks, such as safety and quality.

It is further noted that the Volvo FH Electric, voted International Truck of the Year 2024, will be offered in the Aero version, adding further diversity to the already extensive range of electric trucks. Moreover, the Volvo FH16 is set to receive the industry’s most powerful engine, delivering 780 hp, enhancing its efficiency for demanding heavy-haulage assignments.

Regardless of the chosen powertrain, customers can anticipate reduced energy consumption, extended range, and superior safety and driving comfort with the new FH Aero version.

The new Aero truck models will be rolled out across markets incrementally throughout 2024–2025 in four specifications: FH Aero, FH Aero Electric, FH Aero gas-powered, and FH16 Aero.

Particular focus is placed on optimal fuel efficiency driven by the aerodynamic design, which streamlines the cab and improves stability in windy conditions.

The new Camera Monitor System enhances safety and efficiency by replacing traditional exterior rear-view mirrors. This affords drivers a superior view of the road and mitigates the risk of accidents.

Furthermore, other features and benefits of the new Volvo FH Aero are detailed, including upgraded braking systems, a refreshed infotainment system, and new services for fleet owners.
